LIVERMORE, Maine — An elderly woman died Tuesday night when fire destroyed her home, the state fire marshal’s office is reporting.
Dorothy Goding, 84, lived alone at the Cape Cod-style home on Poland Hill Road, according to a release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.
The fire was reported at about 9 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators from the fire marshal’s office planned to return to the scene Wednesday to look for a cause of the fire.
