HERMON, Maine — A 60-year-old Bangor man was injured Sunday when the motorcycle he was riding went off Route 2 about noon, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
The man, whose name was not released, was traveling east and had just passed under the railroad trestle when the accident occurred, Deputy Michael Parady said.
Neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be a factor, he said.
Parady said the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet but did not sustain life-threatening injuries. The deputy said the accident might have been caused by a medical condition.
No summons was issued, Parady said.
