BANGOR, Maine — More than 1,700 Emera Maine customers, including just over 700 in Bangor, were without power Thursday morning, according to the company’s website.

An emergency outage in the Broadway area of Bangor due to repairs affected 750 customers for about a half hour. As of 10:30 a.m., power had been restored.

In addition to the repairs, approximately 997 customers are in the dark due to weather conditions as of 10:30 a.m.

The bulk of the outages are in northern Penobscot and Piscataquis counties,with 752 customers in the dark in those areas.

Power was expected to be restored to all customers by 12:30 p.m.
