BATH, Maine — Local police are investigating a home invasion that occurred last week, Bath Police Chief Michael Field said Tuesday.
On Thursday, July 24, officers were dispatched to a Whiskeag Road residence to investigate a burglary in progress. Field said the homeowner discovered a male suspect inside.
After the resident confronted the intruder, the suspect fled the scene, Field said.
Officers tracked him to the area of Bath Country Club and Ridge Road, but were unsuccessful in finding him.
The suspect is a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, Field said. He is thin and was wearing an oversized hooded grey sweatshirt, baggy khaki shorts and a ballcap.
Anyone who has seen the suspect or who has information on the burglary should call Bath police at 443-8367.
