BRUNSWICK, Maine — Although no one was injured when a crane tipped over Wednesday at Bath Iron Works’ Brunswick plant, members of the region’s hazardous materials response team spent most of the afternoon cleaning up a roughly 30-gallon hydraulic fluid spill, a local fire officials said Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred shortly after noon, said Capt. Robert Robitaille of the Brunswick Fire Department.

He said the crane was still on its side and that it would take another day or two to remove it as other cranes will need to be brought to the site for some heavy lifting.
