BANGOR, Maine — The Penobscot County Emergency Management Agency has fielded several complaints recently from businesses stating an out-of-state company used the agency’s name in order to gain business.
Chief Deputy Troy Morton of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement the county’s Emergency Management Agency does not allow any company to use its name in order to gain business.
“Citizens and businesses should use caution if any company attempts to gain business by utilizing Penobscot County EMA as an endorsement,” Morton said in a statement.
Morton said the out-of-state company in this matter has been identified as Firehouse Promotions.
