PARSONSFIELD, Maine — A man is dead after a crash threw him more than 100 feet.
The York County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the scene of a crash on Pendexter Road around 2:15 a.m. Monday. Deputies say they found an unoccupied 1998 Subaru Legacy four-door had crashed into a utility pole.
About two hours later, deputies and firefighters say they found the body of 28-year-old John Bubar lying in a ditch about 120 feet from the crash scene.
Investigators said the Subaru left the road, hit a rock and slid on its side before hitting a telephone pole, throwing Bubar from the vehicle.
The crash is still under investigation.
