RUMFORD, Maine — Police say they’ve arrested a man after an eight-hour standoff in Rumford.
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office arrested Chad Bradbury, 36, early Tuesday morning and charged him with three counts of criminal threatening. Late Monday night, police said a neighbor heard commotion and went to see what was going on. Police say the neighbor saw Bradbury waving a gun and going in and out of the home.
The Maine State Police Tactical Team closed a section of Route 2 near Andover Rd around 9 p.m. Monday while they negotiated with Bradbury. Police say Bradbury surrendered and no one was hurt. The road reopened around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Bradbury is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court on Oct. 17.
