ST. GEORGE, Maine — A 19-year-old local man is in critical condition at a Portland hospital after a Thursday morning crash.
Vincent Hilt was driving a 2005 Jeep south on Route 131 in the oncoming traffic lane, according to a report from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The Jeep was driving erratically, went off the road and rolled, police said.
Hilt suffered head injuries and was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland. A hospital spokeswoman said Friday morning Hilt was in critical condition.
The crash occurred at 11 a.m., less than half a mile south of the intersection of Route 73.
He was the only person in the vehicle.
