WATERVILLE, Maine — A woman is facing felony charges after allegedly threatening her boyfriend with a sword saying she was going to kill him.
Jane Allen, 50, is accused of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault, according to Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey.
Police were summoned to a Drummond Avenue residence around 11 p.m. on Thursday when the victim said he had been assaulted with the sword, Rumsey said.
The two had been arguing, the deputy chief said, and the man got cut on his hand when he attempted to disarm Allen, who was allegedly swinging the sword at him and threatening to kill him, Rumsey said.
The victim was not seriously injured and Allen was taken to the Kennebec County Jail after her arrest, Rumsey said.
Allen is being held without bail, and her court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 16.
