SOUTH HADLEY, Massachusetts — Leah Hibbad’s goal in the 20th minute propelled Husson University to a 1-0 women’s soccer win over Mt. Holyoke on Saturday afternoon.

Lacey Kent-Webber registered the assist on the goal for the 2-1 Eagles. Aimee Hartwell made two saves in her first collegiate start.

Mackenzie Randall made eight saves in net for Mt. Holyoke.

UNE 5, UMF 0

At Biddeford, Anna Michaud tallied a goal and an assist to carry the University of New England to victory over the University of Maine Farmington on Saturday.

Jackie Dickerson, Jessica Meader and Becca Murphy scored a goal apiece for the 2-0 Nor’easters, while Brionne Turcotte, Kayla Hamel and Sarah Bunnell added assists. Emily Richard, Brielle Robinson and Sarah Papapietro combined on the shutout.

Samm Hatch and Haley Murano were the ’keepers for the 0-1 Beavers.

Thomas 3, UMPI 2 (2OT)

At Waterville on Saturday, Bronte Howarth scored in overtime to lift the Terriers to a victory over the Owls.

Howorth added two assists for Thomas, which received two goals from Kajsa Kaufeldt. Paige Leary made five saves.

Bethany Heald scored both goals for the University of Maine-Presque Isle and Janae Libby posted an assist. Allison Lopez made four stops.

USM 1, MMA 0

At Waterville on Saturday, CC Pelletier scored off an Analies Ross-Dyjak assist with six minutes remaining, lifting the Huskies to victory.

Marissa Temple made two saves for 2-2 Southern Maine of Gorham.

Kelsie Hilton made two stops for 2-2 Maine Maritime Academy of Castine.

Northeastern 4, Maine 0

At Orono on Sunday, Northeastern outshot the Black Bears 22-5 en route to the victory.

Taylor Caparo scored in the first minute for Northeastern when she converted a Kimberly Slade cross.

Lahaina Zoller added NU’s second goal at 40:54, Mackenzie Dowd scored at 64:12 and Haley Sinclair concluded the scoring at 79:58.

Elise Applegate made seven saves for Maine, which slipped to 1-5.

Paige Burnett made two saves for NU, now 3-2-1.

Daemen 2, UMFK 0

At Amherst, New York, on Sunday, Daemen scored two second-half goals to beat UMaine-Fort Kent.

The first goal came as the result of a free kick, when Rose Carboni’s shot was lofted in the right hand corner of the net over UMFK goalkeeper Michelle Delgadillo.

Alex Juliano scored the second goal off a cross from Stephanie Zurales.

Delgadillo made three saves on six shots for UMFK (3-1) and Kathryn Haessner made five for Daemen (2-0).

Field Hockey

Smith 4, Thomas 2

At Poughkeepsie, New York, Marissa Vara netted two goals and assisted on a third to lead Smith College past Thomas College of Waterville on Saturday.

Jenny Estes scored twice, while Kat Estes added an assist for the winners. Nora Demick had eight stops.

Brittany Premo and Abigail Dunn scored a goal each for the Terriers and Abbie Charrier made seven saves.

Springfield 2, Husson 1

At Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday, Linnea Quist and Kristina Krull scored second-half goals to lift the Pride to victory.

Timarie Villa made six saves for Springfield.

Libby Kain scored the goal for Husson University of Bangor. Kaitlin Dolloff came up with seven saves.

On Sunday, The College of Brockport beat Husson (2-3) in the tourney’s consolation game 1-0. Husson’s Kayla Royer was named to the all-tourney team.

Men’s Soccer

St. Joseph’s 5, UMPI 0

At Standish on Saturday, Austin Bells scored twice to propel Saint Joseph’s College past the University of Maine-Presque Isle.

Victor Santos, Jack Murray and Justin Karageorge each added a goal for the 1-2 Monks, while Robert Petrosillo, Garrett Darnell and Ralph Houanche posted assists. Petrosillo and Hugo Palacios combined to make five saves.

Caleb Bragg-Grady registered 10 saves for the 0-4-1 Owls.

Gordon 2, Husson 1 (OT)

At Bangor on Saturday, Nathan Bilbie scored off a feed from Joshua Cochran in overtime as Gordon College edged Husson University.

Caleb Cole also scored for 3-0 Gordon, which got five saves from Jeff Spoonhour.

Phil Frost scored off a Josh Bean assist for the Eagles (2-2), with Brian Potter grabbing eight saves.

Maine Maritime 1, USM 0

At Bangor on Saturday, Gabriel Warren scored an early goal to lift Maine Maritime Academy of Castine to the win over the University of Southern Maine.

Chris Gilman provided an assist for the 1-3 Mariners and Marshal Spear made two saves.

Charles Mull racked up 13 saves for the Huskies of Gorham (0-4).
