WINTHROP, Maine — A Gardiner man was hospitalized Monday night after his motorcycle was struck by a Buick on Main Street, police said.
Gregory Harvey, 58, was attempting to pull out of a driveway when his bike’s throttle stuck and caused him to dart in front of a Buick driven by Sharon Neil, 49, of Winthrop, Winthrop police Capt. Ryan Frost said.
Neil, who had one passenger in her vehicle, 53-year-old James Brouchu of Winthrop, was traveling west at the time of the accident, which was reported at 8:15 p.m., Frost said.
The captain said Harvey was wearing a helmet.
Harvey suffered leg injuries and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center. Brochu suffered minor cuts and was treated at the scene, while Neil was not hurt, Frost said.
