ELLSWORTH, Maine — For the second time in as many months, local police have charged more than a dozen people with underage drinking after busting up a weekend party.
On Aug. 3, 23 people under age 21 were summoned on alcohol-related charges after police broke up a late-night party on Garden Street.
This past weekend, just after midnight on Saturday morning, 16 people under age 21 were summoned on alcohol-related charges when police responded to a complaint of a party on Bayside Road near Pioneer Farm Way.
One of the 16 people summoned Sept. 6 on a charge of illegal possession of alcohol by an underage person also was arrested. Kassidy Jordan, 19, of Ellsworth was taken into custody on a charge of furnishing a place for minors to drink. She was later released on bail.
Thirteen other people age 18 or older, who are considered adults under state law, were charged with illegal possession of alcohol by consumption. They are:
— Jared Bragg, 18, of Ellsworth.
— Cameron Crawford, 20, of Lamoine.
— Blake Curtis, 19, of Eastbrook.
— Riley Farnsworth, 20, of Bar Harbor.
— Tyler Farnsworth, 20, of Bar Harbor.
— Brian Jones, 19, of Aurora.
— Jeremiah Minctons, 19, of Bar Harbor.
— Dylan Richardson, 18, of Tremont.
— Richard Sharp, 20, of Ellsworth.
— Benjamin Wallace, 20, of Mount Desert.
— Ian Weiss, 20, of Ellsworth.
— Samantha Weiss, 18, of Hermon.
Two juveniles, one 16 years old and another 17 years old, also were charged with illegal possession of alcohol by consumption. Richardson and Minctons also each were charged with possession of a useable amount of marijuana.
Bragg was one of the 23 people charged with illegal possession of alcohol by an underage person on Aug. 3, when police broke up the party on Garden Street.
