SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of Maine Mall Road early Tuesday afternoon, police said.

South Portland police Lt. Frank Clark said police and fire personnel were sent to the area at 2:20 p.m. after reports that a woman was struck by a vehicle.

Crews remained on scene as of 3 p.m., Clark said.
