LIMERICK, Maine — The York County Sheriff’s Office expects to release more information Monday morning after posting to their Facebook page that two men abducted a female victim in their pickup truck.
In a post Sunday afternoon, deputies said the males, estimated to be in their early 20s, pulled up alongside a female and forced her into the vehicle. The post said the victim was kept in the vehicle against her will until she was eventually released in the Limerick area.
The vehicle described was an older-model truck that was lime green or mint in color that possibly had Connecticut license plates and was last seen along Route 5.
The post was removed Sunday night after a dispatcher said some of the information might not have been accurate. A press release is expected to be issued Monday morning, according to dispatchers.
