Speed and alcohol are believed to have contributed to a fatal motorcycle crash in Winslow on Friday, according to the Winslow Police Department.
Police responded to reports of a motorcycle crash with serious injury on Augusta Road in Winslow at around 4 p.m.
Police said the driver, 27-year-old Thomas Marceau of Winslow, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police said Marceau was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
No other vehicles were involved.
The accident remains under investigation.
