CARMEL, Maine — A Pittsfield man escaped major injury Wednesday morning after rolling his vehicle on Interstate 95, police said.
David Miles, 24, was on his way home from work when the accident occurred around 5:25 a.m., state trooper Barry Meserve said.
Meserve said the crash occurred just south of the Carmel exit in the southbound lanes. Miles had apparently dropped something on the floor of his 2001 Audi, and lost control when he went to pick it up.
Miles wound up overcorrecting and his vehicle flipped onto the driver’s side off the side of the highway, Meserve said.
Miles was treated at the scene by Carmel fire and rescue personnel but did not require a trip to the hospital, the trooper said.
Miles’ vehicle was demolished in the accident.
