BIDDEFORD, Maine — Kohl’s in Biddeford is no longer in a sinking building and is back open for business.

Kohl’s closed earlier this year because the building was sinking.

The store closed in February, and the building, which was built in 2003, was demolished.

Town officials say the old building started sinking because the wrong fill was used at the site.

The new Kohl’s is built on the same lot and opened its doors Sunday.

Their grand opening event is this Friday.
