ST. AGATHA, Maine — A 38-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident on Monday on Route 162, police said.

Monica Chamberlain of St. Agatha was traveling south when she apparently became ill and drifted off of Route 162, known locally as Main Street, Maine State Police Trooper Nick Casavant said.

Chamberlain drifted off the road and struck a culvert head, which caused her Ford Focus to roll over several times, Casavant said.

Speed was not a factor in the accident, and Chamberlain was wearing a seat belt, the trooper added.

Chamberlain suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Northern Maine Medical Center.

The vehicle was destroyed, Casavant said.
