MINOT, Maine — A third person has been arrested in connection with an armed home invasion last month, according to state police.

Ishmael Douglas, 27, of Boston, was arrested Friday and charged with robbery and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to Department of Public Safety Spokesman Stephen McCausland.

On the night of Aug. 2, state police responded to a Garfield Road home that had been burglarized and located three victims who had fled the scene, according to McCausland.

Two other people have been arrested in connection with the case: Victor Lara, 30, of Augusta, and Kourtney Williams, 24, of Boston, McCausland said. Like Douglas, they are both facing charges of robbery and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

McCausland added that a fourth person believed to have driven to and from the robbery has been interviewed, but not charged.

Police believe the crime was not a random act, as the residence was a target for drugs, guns and cash. Guns, money and drugs were recovered inside the home, McCausland said. Charges have not been filed against the residents of the house, but that portion of the investigation is ongoing.

Douglas was brought to the Kennebec County Jail following his arrest.
