SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — According to South Portland police, a 30-year-old man was assaulted and robbed at a motel Monday night.
Police say the man made arrangements to meet a transgender female at the hotel for a massage. When he arrived, a man and two women physically assaulted him, took his money and other belongings, and temporarily prevented him from leaving the room.
The victim was eventually able to escape and notified hotel staff, who then called police.
Police charged 28-year-old Lauryn Ebanks of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, with robbery, criminal restraint and failure to give correct name and address; 28-year-old Brandon Jamieson of Los Angeles with robbery and criminal restraint; and 24-year-old Tiffany Ruiz of Brooklyn, New York, with robbery and criminal restraint.
The case remains under investigation.
