PORTLAND, Maine — A Biddeford man will spend two and a half years behind bars for his role in a February pharmacy robbery.
Kyle Desmarais, 32, was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court by Judge Nancy Torresen, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Desmarais pled guilty to a robbery charge on June 20.
On Feb. 13, Desmarais drove Billy Schildroth to a Rite Aid in Old Orchard Beach so Schildroth could rob it, according to court documents.
Schildroth claimed he had a gun and five bullets and told a pharmacist not to alert anyone or he would shoot the pharmacist in the face. After Schildroth got away with OxyContin and Suboxone, Desmarais drove him from the scene.
Schildroth pleaded guilty in August and is scheduled to be sentenced in November. He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
