ORONO — Ten local artists will exhibit their work at the Dirigo Pines Art Tour 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 18, in the Dirigo Pines Retirement Community. Visitors can start the tour at the Dirigo Inn or 91 Dirigo Drive.
“We’re excited to have such a variety of art including watercolors, oils, acrylics, and silver
jewelry,” said Dirigo Pines Executive Director JoAnn Gallant. “The artwork will be displayed in
some of the beautiful [Dirigo Pines] cottages that are currently on the market as well as the Dirigo Inn. We will have transportation and refreshments available for visitors.”
Many of the artists plan to be on site with their artwork to share insights into making
the pieces and to answer questions.
Artists taking part in the tour will be Lois Main Templeton, Jayne Bowler, John Lusignan, Teddi-Jann Covell, Diane Young, Janet Elvidge, Frances Hochmuth, Ann Davidoff, Lewis Michaud and Betty Calkins.
Most of the artwork will be available for purchase.
Refreshments will be located at 91 Dirigo Drive and the Dirigo Pines Inn. Also a raffle will be conducted. The winning ticket holder will receive a Sunday brunch for four from the Dirigo Pines Inn.
The event is open to the public and is free of charge.
