SALEM TOWNSHIP, Maine — A Farmington man delivering newspapers Wednesday morning was killed in a car accident in Franklin County, police said.
Thomas Poulin, 48, was near the end of his route when his car struck a tree on Route 142 around 6:30 a.m., state police spokesman Stephen McCausland said.
Poulin was delivering papers for both the Morning Sentinel and the Sun Journal, according to McCausland.
Poulin was heading toward Kingfield when he lost control of his Subaru on a curve and struck the tree, McCausland said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Franklin County sheriff’s deputies assisted state police.
