Ernie Clark continues to thrive as the frontrunner as we head into Week 7 of the 49th BDN Football Forecast.
Clark went 17-3 for the second straight week and pushed his lead over Larry Mahoney (16-4) to three games with four weeks remaining. Joe McLaughlin has slipped to five games behind and John Holyoke is now six games off the pace.
Guest Ryan Jones of Portland, a University of Southern Maine student who works at The Edge Academy and is the head baseball coach at Scarborough High School, posted a 12-8 record.
This week’s guest is Matt Dunlap of Old Town, who was a track teammate of Holyoke at the University of Maine.
Dunlap is better known today as Maine’s Secretary of State, but he’s also a founding member of the Maine Youth Fish and Game Association, a former executive director of the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine and is a former president of the University of Maine M Club, for athletics alumni.
