BANGOR, Maine — The Old Town woman injured in a Feb. 9 accident on Interstate 95 has died because of complications from her injuries, according to an obituary published Friday in the Bangor Daily News.
Myndie D. Davis, 31, died Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Calvary Chapel in Orrington.
Davis was driving south at about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 9, when her 2000 Ford Focus drifted out of the passing lane toward the median for an unknown reason, Trooper Chris Hashey told the BDN the day of the crash.
She reportedly overcorrected and drove across both lanes, Hashey said. Her car left the highway near the Cold Brook Road exit, hit a rock ledge and rolled over before the car came to rest on its roof, he said.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Rescue personnel needed to extricate Davis from her car, Hashey said in February. She was wearing a seat belt.
Davis was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Her 3-year-old son, who was in the car with her, was taken to EMMC as a precaution, but he suffered no visible injuries, according to the trooper.
A graduate of Hermon High School, she is survived by her mother, Linda Davis of Hermon; her children, Isabelle and Izrayel; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Joshua and Heidi Sanders of Orrington, Cory and Cassandra Davis of Old Town, and Anthony and Jamie Davis of Carmel.
