SHERMAN, Maine — Evelyn R. McDonald, 89, of Sherman died Oct. 19, 2014, in Houlton. She was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Sherman, the daughter of Cecil and Blanche (Conroy) Robinson. She was a member of the St. Benedict’s Catholic Church / St. Joseph’s Mission and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella, Houlton Council of Catholic Women and the Social Justice and Peace Committee.
She is survived by two children, Stephen McDonald and Linda Palmer of Houlton, and Luanne Crinion and Michael Labbe of Brunswick; two daughters-in-law, Janice Springer Kennedy of Sherman and Gloria McDonald of Jonesport; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two nephews; and several cousins.
She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Daniel; two sons, Michael (Micky) and Barry in 1995; and a brother, Frank Robinson, in 1995.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home in Island Falls. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Houlton, with Father Dave Raymond as celebrant. Interment will be in the Sherman Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday.
