WASHINGTON, Maine — Police say a home was stripped of all its copper piping.
The burglary at a house on Liberty Road in Washington was reported Sunday morning, Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison said. The house was a rental one and the previous tenants had moved out Sept. 30. The burglary occurred between that date and Sunday, the sheriff said.
The case is under investigation.
Last month, the sheriff’s office responded to the theft of a couple hundred feet of copper pipes removed from another Washington home that was vacant and for sale.
