I am in love with the transformation of this flower. Notice of the little things. <3

Fall stills

Tall grasses sway as they whisper about flowers that will fade and fall away

Flashes of amber light up the field, the trees, the sky

One flower stays

Once light, white, delicate

Now, transformed

Bound together, sturdy and secure

Preparing for the inevitable

It towers over the meadow

Standing alone

Striking, solid, tall

It is Queen Anne’s lace in the fall

I grew up in Downeast Maine but have recently relocated to the North Woods. I live in Clayton Lake where I am a stay at home Mom to two beautifully wild little boys and wife to a Maine State Game Warden....
