SANFORD, Maine — A local man was arrested Wednesday after drugs were found in on his possession after a traffic stop, police said.

Adam Hill, 33, had been pulled over on Cheney Street in Springvale after his vehicle was observed as acting suspicious, Sanford Police Detective Eric Small said.

Officers determined HIll did not have a driver’s license and arrested him for operating after suspension, Small said.

As police searched Hill at the Sanford Police Department, he was found to be in possession of 17 grams of heroin and $2,400 in cash, Small said. Hill was also charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, a Class A felony.

Hill was taken to the York County Jail.
