BELFAST, Maine — Police are searching for two men who allegedly damaged vehicles and stole auto parts from a Belfast car repair shop on Sunday.

A security camera captured images of the men smashing the windows out of vehicles parked behind Gibbs Auto & Muffler on the Back Belmont Road, Detective Sgt. Bryan Cunningham of the Belfast Police Department said Wednesday morning. However, there has been a technical delay in sharing the images with the public to ask for help identifying the men, he said.

The men, who were driving a Chevrolet Blazer, allegedly stole two tires and rims off a Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, Cunningham said.

“We want to identify those two guys,” he said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Belfast Police Department at 338-2040.
