BRUNSWICK, Maine — A Harpswell woman who seemed to be pulling into a parking space on Maine Street reportedly hit the accelerator of her Subaru on Wednesday afternoon and drove into a wall separating the Gelato Fiasco and Little Tokyo restaurants.
The 68-year-old woman, whose name was not released pending notification of relatives, suffered serious injuries, according to Brunswick Police Capt. Mark Waltz. She was taken by Brunswick rescue to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Waltz said the 2006 Subaru Forester didn’t actually enter either building, but it hit the wall dividing the businesses. He said the cause of the crash is still unclear.
