BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Mall was temporarily evacuated late Sunday afternoon after reports of light smoke and a burnt odor were reported at one of the shopping center’s businesses.
Firefighters who were sent to the mall did not find a fire at Bath & Body Works but they did evacuate the mall for about 45 minutes as a precaution, James Gerety, the mall’s general manager, said Monday.
No one was injured in connection with the incident, which did not result in any damage, he said.
