Emera Maine anticipates having power restored by the end of the day Saturday to most of the 665 customers still in the dark from last week’s storm, according to a company statement.

“Power is expected to be restored to all but seasonal customers by the end of the day today, with Deer Isle and Cape Rosier being some of the last customers to be restored given the impact to that area,” company officials said early Saturday afternoon.

Emera Maine has been focusing on Hancock County where, at the peak of last Sunday’s storm, about 58,000 customers were without power because of downed electrical lines and utility poles.

The customer service center will remain staffed with additional representatives through Saturday. Customers are encouraged to call if they have an urgent situation or if they are unsure whether their outage has been reported.

Customers may report outages or ask questions by calling the center at 973-2020 or 1-855-EMERA11 (1-855-363-7211).
