SACO, Maine — A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday while police waited for the man to arrive at an Ocean Park Road motel to allegedly sell drugs, police said.
Tremayne McWilliams, 26, of Massachusetts and Laurie Brann, 24, of South Portland were arrested, according to Saco Deputy Chief Jeffrey Holland.
After McWilliams allegedly made the deal with undercover agents at the Rodeway Inn, he fled toward Paul Street and through yards before being tackled by officers, according to Holland. He discarded heroin and crack cocaine during the foot pursuit, Holland added.
Brann drove herself and McWilliams to the motel, the deputy chief added.
McWilliams was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, aggravated forgery, refusing to submit to arrest and endangering the welfare of a child. Three children between the ages of 5 months and 3 years old were in the vehicle, Holland said. McWilliams also allegedly attempted to deceive police of his true identity.
Brann was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and endangering the welfare of a child, Holland said. Brann had been entrusted in the children’s care as a nanny, he added.
Both were brought to the York County Jail where bail was set at $20,000 for McWilliams and $10,000 for Brann.
