GRAY, Maine — People throughout the state woke up Tuesday morning to snow squalls, but the National Weather Service expects the precipitation to move out by the end of the day.
According to the weather service, locally heavy snow showers were expected to fall throughout western, central and southern Maine throughout the morning.
No more than a quick coating of fresh powder was expected, but driving conditions were expected to be slick.
Temperatures are expected to dip into the 30s throughout the day, with winds picking up as well.
