CARIBOU, Maine — A benefit fundraiser is being held Sunday in response to the tragic fire that killed Norma Skidgel and her three children, Trenton, Mason and Madison DeLisle.
The fundraiser being held 4-6 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center will consist of a night of family fun and games featuring the recreation department’s eight large inflatables, according to Gary Marquis, superintendent of the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department.
A $5 minimum donation will be sought for admittance to the event. Popcorn and water also will be available for $1 each.
Proceeds will be presented to Norma Skidgel’s mother, Yvonne Skidgel, to assist the family with expenses.
“We’re doing it just to help the family out … and I know it’s the right thing to do with the recreation department,” Marquis said. “Our hearts go out to the family.”
Additional information about the event can be found by visiting the Caribou Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
