Search continues for missing Ohio State lineman
Columbus Police continued to search Friday for missing Ohio State senior reserve defensive lineman Kosta Karageorge.
According to multiple reports, Karageorge went for a walk in Columbus around 2 a.m. ET Wednesday when his roommates last saw him.
Karageorge, a walk-on, did not show up for practice Wednesday and Thursday.
“He had some extenuating circumstances that night that lead us to believe he was upset,” his sister Sophia said, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
Karageorge’s mother has filed a missing person’s report with the police. Family and friends have searched the Ohio State campus looking for him to no avail.
Karageorge’s sister said he has a history of sports-related concussions, including one a month ago.
49ers GM, daughter apologize for tweet
San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said he and his daughter have apologized to offensive coordinator Greg Roman for her tweet calling for Roman to be fired in the wake of the 49ers’ offensive failures in a 19-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday.
“My daughter and I both regret that her feelings got the best of her after last night’s game and that she chose social media as an avenue to express her feelings,” Baalke said in a statement on Friday. “We have apologized to Greg for this unfortunate matter. While disappointed, as a father I will use this as a teachable moment to help my daughter grow.”
After the game, Cassie Baalke, a college freshman, tweeted, “Greg Roman can take a hike. The 49ers don’t want you no more.”
Cassie later deleted the tweet and her Twitter account.

Seahawks put LB Pierre-Louis on IR
The Seattle Seahawks placed rookie linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis on injured reserve Friday and claimed rookie cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts.
Pierre-Louis, a fourth-round pick, suffered a shoulder injury in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs and had missed the Seahawks’ past two games.
Pierre-Louis filled in well amid injuries to Bobby Wagner and Malcolm Smith at midseason. He finished his first season with 13 tackles.
Purifoy is the second Colts cornerback the Seahawks have acquired this season; they traded for Marcus Burley in late August.
