KITTERY, Maine — A Bay State fugitive led police in two states on a high-speed chase Saturday night, ending in Kittery with the fugitive’s arrest.

Darman Rosaio, 28, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was caught in the lobby at the Ramada Inn in Kittery after New Hampshire State Police say he drove away from a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in North Hampton, New Hampshire, around 8:20 p.m. Saturday.

The trooper followed Rosario into Maine, when Kittery police found Rosario’s car abandoned behind a truck stop. Kittery police and Maine and New Hampshire state police searched and found a woman hiding nearby and Rosario at the Ramada Inn.

Rosario was charged with being a fugitive from justice and taken to the York County Jail. The woman was released. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact New Hampshire State Police.
