Game notes: The Black Bears finally have a home game and will play two of their next three in Bangor after five straight on the road to open the season. Coach Bob Walsh’s UMaine ballclub hopes to bounce back after allowing a 21-point lead to evaporate in Sunday’s 61-56 setback at Northern Illinois. Beal, a sophomore from Beals Island, returned from a head injury to log 11 minutes against the Huskies, but fouled out after getting nine points and five rebounds. Freshman Kevin Little sat out with a leg injury. Wagner is coming off Saturday’s 64-61 win over Penn. The Seahawks of the Northeast Conference are guard oriented but have shot only 28 percent on 3-pointers and 59 percent from the foul line. The Bears have to minimize turnovers (17.8 per game) and get a strong rebounding effort. Wagner was 19-12 last season and finished second in the NEC.
