Game notes: The Black Bears seek their third straight victory in a nonconference meeting with the Blue Devils. UMaine is riding the emotion of winning the Black Bear Thanksgiving Classic title, which included a 69-64 overtime victory over Boston College. Wood and Koizar have provided strong play for a UMaine ballclub that has depth and options but continues to work on its offensive chemistry. CCSU is the Bears’ fourth opponent of the season from the Northeast Conference. The Blue Devils have won three in a row, all against America East teams (UMass Lowell, Vermont, New Hampshire), and lost a meeting against Hartford. CCSU has responded well after losing six of its top seven scorers from last season.
