UMaine is 1-0 at the Cross Insurance Center, but looks to bounce back after Saturday’s 74-51 setback at Dartmouth. The Bears allowed the Big Green to shoot 49 percent, with nine 3’s, and shot only 32 percent themselves, including 2-for-21 from long range. The Black Birds are coming off Saturday’s 80-76 loss to Lehigh and also have dropped decisions to America East members Stony Brook and New Hampshire. LIU Brooklyn, which plays in the Northeast Conference, is averaging only 60.8 ppg and has let opponents shoot 44 percent. UMaine is expected to be without freshman guard Kevin Little (ankle) for the fourth straight game.
