GLENBURN, Maine — Maine State Police are investigating a fatal accident on Pushaw Road in which a woman was struck by a vehicle.
Maine State Police Lt. Sean Hashey said it appeared the victim, who is in her mid-30s, was going to get her mail shortly before 4:30 p.m. when she was struck by a male driving a four-door sedan.
The woman’s name was not immediately released.
Hashey said that weather and poor visibility appear to have been contributing factors in the accident. State police have requested an accident reconstruction specialist.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said Pushaw Road is closed from Hudson Road to Lakeview Road.
