WINDHAM, Maine — At a press conference, Windham police say they have arrested a 16-year-old Windham resident for allegedly sending two threatening emails to RSU 14 administrators.

According to police, there was sufficient evidence to indicate that the threat was credible.

District leaders dismissed all schools Monday morning, after receiving two threatening emails.

One of the emails made reference to the use of a weapon.

The male suspect has been charged with eight counts of Class C terrorizing, one for each of the schools.

Classes were also canceled Tuesday and Wednesday while police investigated the threats. The Computer Crimes Unit is also involved in the investigation.
