SACO, Maine — Two people were shot during a home invasion early Thursday morning in Saco.
The shooting at 25 Hillview Ave. was reported to Saco police at 2:47 a.m., according to Saco Police Chief Brad Paul.
A man and a woman suffered gunshot wounds, he said. They are at the Maine Medical Center undergoing treatment. Paul says one other person was in the home at the time of the shooting and is cooperating with police.
Paul would not comment on a suspect in the shooting but says the public is not at risk. He confirmed no children were in the home at the time of the shooting.
A heavy police presence is at the scene, including the Maine State Police Crime Lab van.
