BANGOR — Sophomore linebacker Ellis Throckmorton of Bangor heads a list of three Husson University players named to the ECAC Division III North All-Star Teams. The first-team pick made 90 tackles, including an ECFC-high 20.5 tackles for a loss.
Senior safety Stephan Dance and freshman tailback John Smith were second-team selections. Dance, the ECFC Defensive Player of the Year, made 74 tackles with two interceptions for the league champion Eagles (8-2).
Smith, the ECFC Offensive Rookie of the Year, rushed for a school-record 1,408 yards and scored 13 touchdowns.
Bangor hockey alumni game Saturday
BANGOR — The Bangor High School alumni hockey game is scheduled for Saturday from 5:20 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. at Sawyer Arena. This year’s game is dedicated to Kevin Griffin, who recently died after battling cancer.
