ROCKPORT, Maine — A driver was issued a ticket after a car crash Saturday afternoon.
Olivia Stevens, 20, of Rockland was heading north on Route 1 when a car stopped in front of her to make a left turn into Fresh Off the Farm’s parking lot.
Stevens veered to avoid striking the back of the car and drove onto the soft shoulder of the road, said Rockport police Sgt.Travis Ford. Her car rolled, he said.
Stevens suffered some minor cuts but did not require care at a hospital.
Ford issued a ticket to Stevens for failure to maintain control of her vehicle.
Route 1 was limited to one lane for a short time as public safety officials and a tow truck responded to the crash, which happened shortly after noon.
