AMHERST, Maine — A double-wide trailer on Tannery Loop Road was gutted by fire on Tuesday morning, according to officials.
Aurora Fire Chief Bill Cook said there was not much firefighters could do when they arrived on scene, as the residence was fully engulfed in flames.
“All we could do is make sure nothing around it burned,” Cook said.
The blaze was reported at 3:30 a.m., Cook said, and crews were on scene until about 6.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Cook said he hasn’t been able to touch base with the owner yet.
A cause has not been determined but the state fire marshal is investigating.
Crews from Aurora, Mariaville, Waltham, Osborn and Eastbrook were called to the scene.
