LINCOLN, Maine — A town police officer and on-call firefighter resigned from both positions on Monday, an official said.
Anthony Redmond, 46, of Lincoln worked his last shift as a police officer on Friday night, Lincoln’s Director of Public Safety Dan Summers said.
“He has no more affiliation with the town of Lincoln,” Summers said Wednesday.
Redmond’s resignation letter did not state a reason for the resignation, and Summers also declined to provide one.
Redmond has an unlisted telephone number and could not be reached for comment.
Summers referred further questions to Town Manager Ron Weatherbee, the town’s personnel director.
Weatherbee was out of the office on Wednesday, a worker there said.
Redmond was one of five full-time employees of the police department, according to the town’s website.
