WELLINGTON, Maine — A local man has been arrested after a standoff at his home Friday, according to state police.
Randall St. Pierre, 50, has been charged with reckless conduct with a firearm in connection with a shooting early Friday morning in Corinna, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.
According to McCausland, St. Pierre shot at another man following an argument, but no one was injured.
After the shooting, St. Pierre left in a vehicle and was tracked to his Beans Corner Road home, McCausland said.
Several attempts were made by troopers to get St. Pierre out of the house, including by bullhorn, but he did not comply and a tactical team was called by mid-morning, McCausland said.
At approximately 1 p.m., St. Pierre emerged and was taken into custody. Three other people inside the house during the day were not being held against their will, according to McCausland.
St. Pierre was taken to Penobscot County Jail.
